Planning

Treatment plan

In the event that a patient has suffered from breakdown of many or all teeth, a full mouth reconstruction is required to restore the patient to their natural esthetics and function.  The treatment plan is of utmost important and follows a comprehensive exam which may include radiographs, a cone beam computed tomography scan, and pictures.

Treatment

execution

Treatment of patients requiring full mouth reconstruction is multifactorial.  Creating a blend of proper esthetics and function is challenging and gratifying for both clinician and patient.

Prosthodontists have three and sometimes up to five years of training beyond the four years of dental school and are experts in full mouth reconstruction.

functionality

Form follows function.  Prosthodontics is the specialty of dentistry with an emphasis on creating harmony between the temporomandibular joints and teeth.  Once this harmony is created, the form and esthetics of teeth follows the balance and functionality of the components that make up our teeth and joints.  The longevity of the restorations lies on the balance of form and function.
